Re: W700 sd card or not?! **READ**

TPM is a hardware based data encryption module.

I must admit that I am dissapointed from the fact that we have no official reply for a such an easy question. If they don't answer a simple question about the specifications of their product, in the official forum of their site, I am afraid that if we have any technical issue we are alone.... Shame on Acer! :smileysad:

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) . I've been playing with them for a while but it really takes a compliant HDD that supports encryption to be useful. I understand that Microsoft's BitLocker can use the TPM for accelleration. Personal experience is that it is a quick way to turn a compliant (only some are) HDD into a brick.

Re: W700 sd card or not?! **READ**

It's the first time I cannot find details about the technical specifications of a product.

It's the first time I don't get an answer in an official forum.

It's the first time I don't find an email to make my question in the official site.

It's the first time I am looking for an Acer product and I cannot even find the release date...

Me too... The great problem for me is that nobody says (or knows) when will they be available in Greece. But I started looking for other alternatives, like from Samsung, even they are more expensive. But at least they do exist...

In some stores the Ativ Pro costs about 1400 Euros without the extra keyboard, which is about 150 more euros.
And it has 64GB SSD only in Europe.
Here in Greece none is yet available...
That's a big shame that somebody has to buy the product to find the specifications...
