W700 sd card or not?! **READ**

[ Editado ]

So I searched for w700 on acer website (sweden) and it pooped out a few diffrent...so I looked at the numbers an did so with the one Im going to buy... I found the right one 009 and I went to datasheets...and there it says that there actually is a sd card reader...but from what Ive heard there is no such thing...

Theories:

*Missprint(alot of them, not just in sweden)

*I heard that  acer procides with acer cloud...maybe...just maybe it is just for a few special countries...so the countries that cant use that will get sd card on their acer w700 instead of acer cloud..

So can someone please sort this out as it is very confusing :/

Thanks in advance :smileyhappy:

Hello sopaj96, to my knowledge the W700 will not have an Micro SD card slot.

Also the specification sheet of 6821 variant (US model) and NT.L0EEK.002 (Europe) notes that there is a Micro-SD slot.
Also I found in some eshops a W700P model with SD card on specifications.

But why does it say that it has sd card?:smileyfrustrated:

Seems strange... someone really needs to verify this!

I belive it was a typo on some retailer specs. Im sure at this point there is not a SD card slot in the W700

What do you mean? Its not the retailers that wrote wrong...its on the official acer website :/ I just think it is strange if they wrote wrong on like 5 diffrent model names :/
Can anyone from acer actually tell us how it is?

The UK i3 model 100% states the device has an SD slot on the offical Acer website. It also states that the i5 doesn't :smileyhappy:

I put it down to a typo but guess i'll find out when mine arrives in 2 weeks

Re: W700 sd card or not?! **READ**

Now, in acer.co.uk both i3/i5 seems to have SD slot. I am 99.9% sure that some time ago the i3/NT.L0EEK.001 model didn't say anything aboud an sd card.
In US we have four models in the official site:
W700-6607: i3/64GB SSD/NO SD CARD READER

W700-6691: i5/64GB SSD/NO SD CARD READER

W700-6465: i5/128GB SSD/NO SD CARD READER

W700P-6821: i5/128GB SSD/WITH SD CARD READER

the last one, also has Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Solution, Keyboard(!) and touchpad(!!!). The last two I think is a mistake.

The interesting thing is that all previews (since October) say that the only real disadvantage is the lack of SD card reader... But these, on the other hand, had a thunderbold port, so they wasn't final products.
