I went below the 16GB free space threshold after downloading windows 8. Now tht I have created the windows 8 thumb drive for installation, where are the files I can delete from my IconiaTab 500? I have removed absolutely everything I dare to , and remain 1.5 GB away from the 16GB I need. Can anyone tell me if I can remove the windows 8 files I downloaded and where to find them?

Norman,
When you create your recovery USB drive for Windows 8, you are prompted with a message asking if you would like to permanently delete the recovery partition from your system. If you select this option, it will remove the hidden partition containing the Windows 8 installation files. I do not recommend removing any other Windows 8 files. If you did not select this option while creating your USB recovery drive, you may need to remake the drive, and select that option.
