How do you get Acer to honor its warranty on a Aspire One netbook that went out after only 2 months?

I bought an Acer Aspire One netbook and only two months later the hard drive crashed. Paid $24 shipping to send it in to be fixed under the one year warranty.  They "supposedly" fixed it and sent it back.  I immediately turned it on only to find it still didn't work, this time the screen only had various grey stripes.  I've tried to contact them about this only to be ignored.  In the meantime, I noticed that the one year purchase date on my account is wrong, now...making it look as though the warranty has expired.  They won't give you the time of day if the warranty is "expired", even if it really isn't.  I tried twice to scan the receipt so they can update the information...But, I have only been ignored.  Seems like they are waiting for the "true" expiration date to come and go........Has anyone else had this problem? How do I get their attention?
