I am getting my first tablet / slate pc for christmas this year from "santa"... (been very good) lol! Have a couple of questions/concerns if anyone from acer or current users can help plz.
1. The GPU, hoping you can change it in the bios to allow more than just 128 mb of memory to be used for graphics? If not I'd really like an update from Acer to allow this. I know many people won't need more than 128 mb but i'd like to play some games on it and just 256 or 512 would be awesome! (I'm buying your products so I should be able to chose how to use my 4 GB of memory right? )
2. The Wifi card. Wondering if there is a way you can replace it?
If so does anyone know if you can get a LTE / CDMA 4g card PCI card that would fit and also have wifi on the same card to allow me to use Verizon 4g towers+wifi at home ? (Obviously aftermarket not from verizon.)
3. Have seen a case possibly from the AU version that has a keyboard in the leather carrying case.... Would love to know if anyone has found these for sale seperately? (you can see it on these forums by searching for w700 keyboard case) A case such as this would be a major improvement to the basic one that comes with the US versions....
Lastly...mostly for acer to answer...
4. The "throttling" issues seem pretty bad... I know its not "throttling" but rather turbo boost isn't running.. just wondering how many people are experiencing this? and if Acer plans to do anything about it....
While it is a tablet.. and i dont want my tablet hot.. this model is sold as a desktop / tablet so it should at least be able to use full advantage of my i5 model's turbo boost while i'm playing a game or something similar...? The GPU should be able to run faster than the standard 350 clock without worrying about it getting up to 120 or so... thats really not THAT hot.... least imo...
Thanks for any replies and hoping my first experience with Acer turns out good.
