Ans: To configuring RAID 10, you need 4 HDDs in the system.
Please follow the procedures below.
a. To start the RAID BIOS utility, please press CTRL-R during POST
b. In the top menu, please press Ctrl-N to switch to Ctrl Mgmt page.
c. Press Tab to move the cursor to Set Factory Defaults and then press Enter.
d. Select OK to load factory defaults.
e. Press Ctrl-S to save the change.
f. Press Esc and then select OK to exit.
g. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to reboot the server.
h. Reboot the server and then enter the RAID BIOS utility again by pressing CTRL-R during
POST
i. On the VD Mgmt page of top menu, please move cursor to the root of Intel Integrated
RAID.
j. Press F2 and select Create Virtual Drive.
k. Select the RAID Level "RAID-10" by Enter.
l. Select Drives for the virtual drive.
m. Specify the size.
n. Select OK.
o. Select OK to create the virtual drive.
p. On the VD Mgmt page, locate the cursor on Virtual Drive 0 you just created and then
press F2.
q. Select Initialization > Fast Init.
r. Select Yes.
s. Press OK when initialization is complete.
t. Press Esc.
u. Select OK to exit.
v. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to reboot the system.
w. Now you can reboot the system and install the Operating System.
