<main> <article class="userContent"> <p>Enabling Onboard SATA ESRTII RAID</p><p>ESRT2 is only supported in UEFI mode</p><p>1. Please press F2 to enter BIOS Setup during POST.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Please press F9 to load default BIOS settings.</p><p><br></p><p>3. In Main Page, change Quiet Boot from Enabled to Disabled.</p><p><br></p><p>Quiet Boot [Disabled]</p><p><br></p><p>4. In Advanced Page, select Mass Storage Controller Configuration</p><p><br></p><p>5. Please select the SATA port that is connecting to the HDD desired.</p><p><br></p><p>SATA Port 0-5</p><p><br></p><p>sSATA Port 0-3</p><p><br></p><p>6. You might see below information:</p><p><br></p><p>AHCI Capable SATA Controller [AHCI]</p><p><br></p><p>7. Please change the setting of AHCI Capable SATA Controller from AHCI to RAID Mode.</p><p><br></p><p>AHCI Capable SATA Controller [RAID Mode]</p><p><br></p><p>8. In Boot Maintenance Manger Page, select Advanced Boot Options</p><p><br></p><p>6. You would see below information.</p><p><br></p><p>Boot Mode [Legacy]</p><p><br></p><p>7. To enable EFI mode, please change the setting from Legacy to UEFI.</p><p><br></p><p>Boot Mode [UEFI]</p><p><br></p><p>8. Save the setting and exit from BIOS Setup.</p><p><br></p><p>UEFI Mode</p><p><br></p><p>Entering Onboard SATA ESRTII RAID BIOS Utility (EFI Mode)</p><p><br></p><p>Please press F2 to enter BIOS Setup during POST. Select OK.</p><p><br></p><p>6. Press ESC to back to Configuration Options.</p><p><br></p><p>Initializing a RAID Volume (EFI Mode)</p><p><br></p><p>1. Select Virtual Drive Management from Configuration Options.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Select Select Virtual Drive Operations.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Select Fast Initialization from Select Operation option.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Select Start Operation.</p><p><br></p><p>5. Select Yes.</p><p><br></p><p>6. Select OK.</p><p><br></p><p>7. Press ESC to back to Configuration Options.</p><p><br></p><p>Assigning a Hot Spare Drive (EFI Mode)</p><p><br></p><p>1. Select Drive Management from Configuration Options.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Select Select Drive Operations.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Select desired drive from Select Drive option. It is usually the drive in “Unconfigured Good” status.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Select Assign Global Hot Spare Drive from Drive Operation option.</p><p><br></p><p>5. Select Start Operation.</p><p><br></p><p>6. Select OK.</p><p><br></p><p>Saving and Exiting Onboard SATA ESRTII RAID Configuration Utility (EFI Mode)</p><p><br></p><p>1. When RAID configuration, initialization and assigning hot spare are completed, press F10 to save and exit.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Now you can start to install OS.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>9.
