Windows 10 update 2004 may cause finger print reader issue on TMP215-52 series

This article only applies to: TravelMate P215-52 models

If you experience any of the following fingerprint reader issues after installing the Windows 10 2004 update, please update the Fingerprint driver to 5.5.2.1124 or later posted on the Acer Drivers and Manuals page.

Finger print reader fails to recognize previous fingerprint
Finger print reader will not allow a new fingerprint to be setup
Warning icon (triangle) appears in device manager for fingerprint device.
