Battery Indicator on Chromebook CB5-132T and C738T May Not Display 100% When Fully Charged

Why is the battery on my Chromebook R11 not showing a full charge?

A recent Chrome OS software update is causing some Chromebook models to incorrectly display the battery charge status. This is causing some models to only report 85% to 95% charge capacity when the battery is fully charged. The battery is still functioning at full capacity, and usage time should not be impacted.

SOLUTION

Make sure your system is updated to Chrome OS 66 or later.
