Keyboard replacement on V15 V5-591G

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to buy an Acer V15 V5-591G from Germany and have a friend bring it over to me (I live in Israel). Problem is that German computers come with a QWERTZ layout keyboard, and Israeli computers use a US style QWERTY layout with the Hebrew characters added.

Is it possible to change the keyboard only, or would this mean changing the entire uper part of the casing? Also, this particular model laptop is not for sale here - is there a HE keyboard for it, or is the part maybe used in other laptops that are for sale here?

Thanks a lot for any advise!

Ben

    Hi Ben,

You have to replace the full upper case with the keyboard (ultrasonic welding). The part is:

I would contact your Acer support to request a quote for this part.
