Did anyone succeed installing Win 7 on a machine with Linpus pre-installed and only Win 10 support ?

I bought a V5-591G (Linpus Linux pre-loaded), I have Win 7 AND I DON'T WANT TO MIGRATE TO WIN 10. When booting form the USB drive, it doesn't recognize any hardware. I couldn't identify the components under Linux so I cannot manually search for drivers. It's virgin and I don't want to use the screwdriver (yet).

Any clue/tip/instruction is welcome

  • Go into bios and see if it has secure boot, disable it. See if it's boot mode is Legacy. See if you can enable F12 boot menu.

Download Rufus https://rufus.akeo.ie/ and make a install usb with your Win 7.

Reboot and rapidly tap F12 until boot menu says it's opening.

Select your usb and hit Enter.

"To anyone who is having the same problem. I managed to solve it by making a windows 10 USB stick. Using it I divided my hard disk into two partitions. In one of them I installed windows 10. After that I copied the Windows 7 installation files to the empty partition and started the installation like a normal program. After the install was completed I formatted the partition where windows 10 was. After that I used msconfig to remove the windows 10 from the os chooser at boot time."
