Acer XC600 dead (or dying) Motherboard

I have an XC600 which came with 6gb Ram, 2 in the first slot & 4 in the other.

Something has happened such that it will now only start with the 2GB stick in. If I put ANYTHING in the other slot, it powers up but won't POST. Same if I put 4GB in the 2GB slot.

Consequently it will only now run with 2GB, which is useless.

The MoBo is 24cm x 20cm & it's a Pentium G2030 processor.

Does anyone know of a compatible MoBo that I could drop in - Acer want £144 for a replacement!

Thanks

so the second ram slot is not working and your 4GB is dead too?

No, it's the slot. The 4GB stick is fine, but I've tried brand new ones too.

have you tried to blow some air on it?

by the way, i think it will be cheaper to find an used XC600 like on ebay, then buying a compatible mainboard.
