How can I fix 'BIOS error 8302' on my 5 year-old Aspire AM5700-E5720A(Vista SP2)?   Error message reads as follows:"checking NVRAM..   Unknown BIOS error. error code = 8302    Press F1 to Resume".  After pressing F1, the system does resume it's 'start-up'!

    Hi DeeCee

Try resetting/clearing the CMOS settings on your mobo - this will reset the BIOS to the default settings. There is a guide here on how to do so.

If this fails for some reason, the BIOS itself may have become corrupted. Check the Acer support site for your region for an updated BIOS file for your PC. Just use caution, as an incorrect flashing of your BIOS can render your PC useless!
