I have an Acer travelmate 6292, whenever I try to boot the OS it displays an error message "system configuration data updated error", What can I do?

You can try reloading BIOS default settings by hitting F2 while the computer turns on and pressing F9 once it's loaded. If this doesn't work it's likely the operating system that is gone. In this case you would need to install Windows again. Unfortunately Acer, like most companies, only keeps recovery discs for 3 years from the date of fabrication. You would need to either buy a copy of Windows or take your unit to a local technician for further help.
