If your Windows 11 computer has trouble booting, you may see error messages like "Diagnosing your PC" or "Your PC did not start correctly". If your computer fails to load into Windows enough times, your computer may attempt an automatic repair. If the automatic repair fails, your Windows will provide you with some additional troubleshooting options you can try. How to boot to Windows Recovery environment
- Press and hold the Power key down for 5 seconds to turn your computer completely off. You should be able to hear the power to the computer go off if you listen closely.
- Power on the computer, and before it boots to Windows, hold the Power key down until the computer shuts completely off.
- Repeat step 2 for a total of three times. This will simulate Windows failing to properly boot up three times in a row triggering Windows Automatic Repair.
