Can another version of an Operating System be installed that did not ship with the computer?

You are free to install any operating system you choose, however, Acer only provides support for the operating system that is installed from the factory. If you change the Operating System, Acer may not be able to provide all drivers for the hardware in the new Operating System. Acer strongly recommends that you create recovery media for your computer prior to installing another operating system.
