Do I have to take my computer to a service center to upgrade the hard drive or memory?
Some products included a hard drive kit with a label advising that upgrades should be done at an authorized service center. This label was added to some US and Canada hard drive kits in error. Users who live in the US and Canada are free to upgrade their hard drives or memory without voiding the warranty. Any physical damage caused to the system due to improper installation will not be covered under warranty.
Note: You should only attempt to upgrade components if you are confident you can do it safely without damaging your computer. If you are not confident you can install an upgrade without damaging your computer, you should consult a qualified technician to assist with the upgrade.
