Thanks. I actually almost never close the laptop over. I just set it to sleep and leave it open. As for the cable, does that need to be put inside the laptop?

I should add: when I pull the left side of the screen forward it works til I let it go.

Keyboard started working again overnight. ACER are a trip. Can anyone offer advice on why my bluetooth to my laptop is directly affecting my WiFi? It literally cuts out when connected and as soon as I turn the speaker off, it comes back and works. Does not do this on my phone; wifi is stable and plays flawlessly connected…

Also, if anyone can offer advice on why my laptop's wifi cuts out when my bluetooth speaker is connected (had it 18 months, no issues and always played perfectly), since the latest wave of Windows' needless updates, I'd be appreciative. I have uninstalled as much of them as I can. But everything has gone to pot since I was…

Mousepad (attached to laptop) works.

I want to add that it seems to be worse. It takes longer to open things and even basic stuff like the screen to log on to the actual laptop goes a bit blurry and stutters to allow me to put my details in. Before I set fire to this piece of ****, what else can I do?

I have ran malwarebytes and quarantined 11 things. I got an update from Microsoft and done it. I cleaned my disk and fragmented. Optimized. analyzed. Still grainy and absolutely brutal to use. And to make it funnier, I got this again: the qualcomm atheros qca9377 wireless network adapter is experiencing driver or hardware…

If I do a disk clean up on downloads for example, does it wipe the entire contents of the folder? I also have to say I am grateful for the help but I am a simple internet user and some of the advice is going over my head. I am losing patience with my laptop as everything has a delay. Can anyone explain to me in the…

Windows security is my anti-virus. What else can it be? What else can I show you to see what is being used?

No matter what I do, it dies overnight. Classic! I can leave a 6 year old ACER laptop in my work from Friday to Monday, with full battery, unplugged abd on airplane mode and it STILL doesn't die. But my new piece of trash dies in less time. ACER are just the most erratic laptops and I'll never, ever buy again.

I clicked the WIFI icon and enabled it from there. I don't know another way.

You've not understood what I wrote. I put laptop on airplane mode. I then put laptop to sleep. With full battery (not charging). When I wake up 7 hours later the battery is dead and so is the laptop.
-
I think the lesson many have learned is that we shouldn't buy ACER again. I won't. I have had it with my laptop. When you pay €400 for a laptop, it should run smoothly without having to remove bloatware to improve performance. Lesson learned. AVOID.

I expect a more or less brand new laptop to be silent. I don't run any software at all except Chrome. I don't use this for anything except browsing. It has a fair spec; better than some. I do not expect it to be as noisy as this.
