  Doesn't the 1080Ti have DisplayPort? With DVI(dual link) you will only be able to output 144Hz, I believe. VGA can do 75Hz if I remember correctly.

  No, the maximum supported frequency is 2666MHz. At the moment higher frequencies(3000MHz+) is only achieved by overclocking the RAM. If you purchase for example 3200MHz it will work at either 2133MHz…
