How can I connect my Acer Swift laptop to an external monitor?
Acer Swift series laptops do not have an HDMI port to output video to an external monitor. Instead, these models use a USB-C port to output video to an external monitor. If your model has more than one USB-C port, you will need to use the port labeled for video output. You can see an example in the image below.
You can use the methods below to connect your Swift laptop to an external display.
- Use a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect directly to a USB-C port on a monitor
- Use a USB-C to HDMI cable to connect to an HDMI port on an external display
- Use a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter to connect from a USB-C port on the notebook, to a display port on an external display
