Updating to BIOS v1.08 can resolve blue screen errors on TravelMate P449 series.

This article only applies to: TravelMate P449-M, P449-MG, P449-G2-M, and P449-G2-MG models

A memory timing issue may cause your TravelMate P449 notebook to display a blue screen error. You can use the instructions below to update your BIOS to v1.08 (or newer) to resolve this issue.

Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of the Acer support website.
Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.
Select the BIOS tab, then click the Download link for BIOS version 1.08 (or later).
Unzip the file you download and run the .exe file to install the latest BIOS.
