What are the stable, beta, and development channels on my Acer Chromebook?

Before any software changes make it into the official update, they're tested in the beta and development versions of the operating system. If you have owner privileges, you can switch to these versions, also called channels, to test these latest changes and updates.

Note: Moving from beta or development back to stable will cause lose of local data and settings.
