Acer passive stylus does not work with Aspire Z3-700

Why does my Z3-700 not recognize my passive stylus?

Earlier firmware versions for the Aspire Z3-700 touch panel may not detect input from the Acer passive stylus pen. A new firmware has been released to correct this behaviour. Your touch panel firmware should be automatically updated to version 12 via Acer Live Updater. You can also use the instructions below to manually install the update if you did not automatically receive it.

Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of the Acer support website.
Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.
Select BIOS/Firmware.
Click the Download link for the file you want to download. (Improve touch panel performance and passive stylus support v12)
