<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="why-does-my-acer-aspire-vn7-nitro-not-charge-consistently">Why does my Acer Aspire VN7 Nitro not charge consistently?</h3> <p>There are 2 different wattage adapters approved for the Nitro series of notebooks. The correct approved AC adapter for a Nitro notebook can be identified by looking at the DC Rating label on the bottom of the notebook. </p> 19V @ 4.7A corresponds to the 90W adapter. <br><br>19V @ 7.1A corresponds to the 135W adapter<br><p><br>The 90 Watt blue tip adapter has a smaller hole. The 135 Watt orange tip adapter has a larger hole.<br><br></p><p><br>If the larger orange tip 135W adapter is used with a 90W blue DC-in port notebook, the 90W notebook may have problems powering up or charging the battery.
