Why does the screen of my Predator PHN16-72 gaming laptop go blank after installing the VGA driver that I have downloaded from the Intel website?
If you have installed a VGA driver downloaded from the Intel website, the screen of your Predator PHN16-72 gaming laptop might go blank. Rebooting does not help, as the screen goes blank as soon as Windows and the new Intel VGA driver are loaded.
In the Intel VGA driver, the Parade MUX integrated circuit value is disabled, causing the screen of your gaming laptop to go blank. You can solve this by installing the qualified Intel graphics driver from the Acer Support website.
You must install the VGA driver while running Windows in Safe Mode. This mode helps the system run with minimal drivers and programs to avoid possible conflicts during the driver installation process.
