How can I get my Acer Aspire Lite 14 notebook screen to work again when it stays black after resuming from sleep mode?
When your Acer AL14-31P or AL14-51M notebook wakes up from sleep mode, it is possible nothing is displayed on the screen although the backlight of your notebook is active.
Temporary solution
In such case, close the lid of your notebook and open it again. You should see something on the display of your notebook again. Since this is a temporary solution, you will have to perform this action every time your notebook wakes up from sleep mode.
Permanent solution
To prevent you having to close and open the lid of your notebook every time it wakes up from sleep mode, you can also install a firmware patch on your notebook. The firmware patch is available on our Acer Support website.
For instructions on how to download and apply the firmware patch to your notebook, follow the steps below.
