When should I factory reset my Acer Android tablet?
When troubleshooting does not resolve issues
Restoring your Android tablet to factory settings can help resolve persistent issues that other troubleshooting methods have not resolved, like when your tablet runs slowly or keeps freezing up on you.
When you are selling or giving away your tablet
Restoring the factory settings of your tablet is also a way to clear all your personal data and protect your privacy when you are selling or giving away your tablet. Factory resetting returns your tablet to its original state, as if it just came out of the box, ready for a new owner.
Important: Back up your data before factory resetting
Before performing a factory reset, it is crucial to back up your important files and settings. A factory reset deletes all data on the device, including apps, photos, documents, and custom settings.
