It is easy to check the system specifications of your Chromebook. However, the process is a little different that on a Windows or Mac computer. There are several methods you can use to check your specs. You can use the Chromebook Task Manager, access the System Page, or just check your Chrome OS information. How to check Chromebook specifications using Task Manager
- Open Google Chrome.
- Select the ⋮ menu in the top right corner.
- Click on More tools and select Task Manager. This will open the Task Manager app. Here you can see all active processes on your Chromebook, including CPU, memory, and network bandwidth usage for each.
- To stop any processes using too many resources, simply click on it and select End process.
How to check Chromebook specifications using System Page
- Open the Google Chrome browser.
- Type chrome://system and press Enter.
- View the information in the About System section.
- Select Expand next to an item to see more details.
How to check Chromebook Network Connection Information
- Open Google Chrome.
- Select the ⋮ menu in the top right corner.
- Click on Settings and then select Network.
- Click on Network and select the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to.
- Click on the Advanced drop-down menu to see details such as network frequency, signal strength, security type, SSID and BSSID.
- Click on the Network drop-down menu to see details such as current name servers, IP address, IPv6 address, Gateway and Routing prefix.
How to check Chrome Operating System (OS) Information
- Open Google Chrome.
- Select the ⋮ menu in the top right corner.
- Click on About Chrome OS to see details such as platform and firmware version and last build date.
