Bookmarks are saved web pages for later viewing. They help organize or save useful pages. But they can become cluttered and need cleaning, especially when they are imported from another device.
To delete bookmarks on a Chromebook, use the bookmarks bar or the bookmarks manager to remove one or multiple bookmarks.
How to remove bookmarks in Chrome
- In the Chrome browser, press Ctrl + Shift + B to make the Bookmark bar appear if you can not see it already.
- Right-click on the bookmark you want to get rid of and click on Delete.
How to delete multiple bookmarks from Chrome at once
- In the Chrome browser, press Ctrl + Shift + O to open Bookmark Manager.
- Select:
- Multiple bookmarks.
- Individual bookmarks from multiple folders.
- Click on Delete in the top right corner.
How to delete all bookmarks from Chrome at once
- In the Chrome browser, press Ctrl + Shift + O to open Bookmark Manager.
- Press Ctrl + A to select all the bookmarks.
- Click on Delete in the top right corner. Repeat these steps for each folder.
How to delete a custom bookmark folder from Chrome
- In the Chrome browser, press Ctrl + Shift + O to open Bookmark Manager.
- Right-click on the bookmark folder you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
