Ensuring you have the latest software updates for your devices is important to ensure they are fully compatible with your PC and that you are getting the most out of them as possible. Driver updates for connected Windows devices such as video cards, network adapters, monitors, and printers usually happen automatically. You can manually update or reinstall these drivers, however, and we will walk you through those processes for your graphics card below.
Note: Acer recommends and is able to provide support for drivers that are pre-installed on your computer, as well as drivers downloaded from our support site. If you experience any issues after updating drivers, we recommend you download and install the latest driver from the Acer download site.
How to update your graphics driver on Windows 10
- Click on the Start Menu, and then select Device Manager.
- Select Display adapters, and find your Graphics Card.
- Right-click on your Graphics Card, and then select Update Driver.
- Windows will begin updating your driver if there is an update available.
How to reinstall your graphics driver on Windows 10
- Click on the Start Menu, and then select Device Manager.
- Select Display adapters, and find your Graphics Card.
- Right-click on your Graphics Card, and then select Uninstall.
- Restart your PC.
- Windows will automatically reinstall the driver when the PC is rebooted. If this does not happen, follow the steps above for how to update your graphics driver on Windows 10.
How to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Acer support site
- Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of the Acer support website.
- Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.
- Choose your Operating System.
- Select Driver.
- Locate the driver you want to download and click on the download link.
- The file will be saved in your Downloads folder by default.
- Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the file.
- Right-click the downloaded ZIP-file and then click Extract All Files. Double-click the folder that has the same name as the downloaded file.
- Locate and double click the setup.exe or install.exe file you want to install.
- Click Yes when prompted to allow the app to make changes to your PC.
