Reset Your AC Adapter and Update Your BIOS to Resolve Aspire A517-52 Battery Not Charging

The battery of my Aspire 5 is not charging. How can I fix this?

If your Aspire 5 battery will not charge, try the following steps to resolve the issue.

Reset the AC adapter by unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then reconnect the adapter.
Update the BIOS to version BIOS 1.26 or higher. The BIOS version can be found in the CARE CENTER application in the My System menu, or it can be downloaded from the Acer download site.
