The battery of my Aspire 3 is not charging. How can I fix this?
Models affected: A315-58 and A315-58G
If your Aspire 3 battery will not charge, try the following steps to resolve the issue.
- Reset the AC adapter by unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then reconnect the adapter.
- Update the BIOS to version BIOS 1.26 or higher. The BIOS version can be found in the CARE CENTER application in the My System menu, or it can be downloaded from the Acer download site.
Note: The system will need to be switched out of S mode to install the BIOS posted on Acer Support Site. For instructions on how to switch out of S mode, see Windows 11: How to Switch Out of S Mode.
If you are still experiencing charging issues after attempting the steps above, contact Acer support.
