Some new Acer Chromebooks have a nano SIM slot on the right side of the Chromebook that are compatible with US cellular 4G LTE SIM cards available from AT&T and T-mobile¹. In Canada, the computer is also compatible with the carrier BELL. Use the instructions below to setup your 4G LTE.
- Use the SIM tray removal tool to eject the SIM tray. You can use a small paperclip if you lose the removal tool.
- Place the SIM card in the SIM tray. The SIM card can only be placed in the SIM tray one way.
- Insert the SIM card back into the SIM slot as shown in the image below. It may take several minutes for the cellular network to recognize the new SIM card and the computer. While the network is syncing up with the computer and SIM card, the network may connect and disconnect several times.
- The cell phone company may need to associate the SIM card with the IMEI number from the bottom of the notebook.
