How can I safely clean and disinfect my Acer products?
The CDC recommends using alcohol-based wipes or a spray consisting of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water for disinfecting electronics. Both are considered safe to use to clean your Acer products. Make sure to squeeze out any excess liquid from the wipe and be careful not to use cleaners or wipes that contain chlorine, bleach, acetone or ethyl alcohol. It is also recommended that you follow CDC recommendations for disinfecting work areas and electronics, as well as EPA guidelines for safe and effective disinfectant use.
Precautions:
- Use all cleaning products in accordance with the directions for use.
- Never clean your product while system is on. Make sure to disconnect your product from any power source and remove all external devices and cables.
- Use only a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down your product. Avoid using abrasive materials such as abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels or similar materials.
- Gently wipe your product to clean it. Do not use excessive pressure or force which may cause permanent damage to the product.
- Do not spray any liquid directly onto the product or allow liquids to get into the gaps of the product. Excessive moisture can damage your product and liquid damages are not covered by the Acer Warranty.
- Do not use aerosol sprays, bleaches or abrasive cleaners.
- Do not use any liquid that contains acetone, bleach, chlorine, toluene, ethyl acid, ammonia or methyl chloride.
- Do not spray cleaner directly on the LCD panel, and ensure the LCD panel is dry before closing the lid.
- Isopropyl alcohol is flammable and should not be used near spark or open flame.
- Prolonged use of chemical cleaners may cause discoloration or paint bubbling.
