Why is there a QR code on the serial number label of my Acer product?

New Acer products include QR codes that allow users to use a QR code scanner to read the serial number or SNID. Use the instructions below to scan the QR codes on your system.

Visit the Google Play or Apple Store and download and install QR code scanner.
Open your QR scanner app.
Locate and scan the QR code on your serial number label.
Visit http://support.acer.com, select your country and enter your serial number or SNID to find support information that is specific to your product.
