What can I do if I am unable to see any wireless networks on my R751T/R751TN?

The WIFI module on a small number of Chromebook R751T/R751TN models become disabled for no apparent reason. If this happens, the customer will be unable to see any networks in range when they attempt to connect. Make sure the customer has their Chromebook in the stable channel, and the OS is up to date. You can find information on updating the Chromebook OS at https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/177889?hl=en.

If WIFI disabling issues are still seen after using the latest Chrome OS have the customer perform standard WIFI troubleshooting (reloading the OS, restarting the unit, unplugging the battery for a minute, reseating the WIFI card). A full power reset can allow WIFI card functionally to resume.

If WIFI is still not working after these steps; the unit may then be setup for repair service.

This article will be updated as more information is available.
