Why does the fan run at full speed when the system first boots up?

This article only applies to: Aspire C22-860 and Aspire C24-860 models

Acer has found a small item in the BIOS that may cause the CPU Fan to run at full speed when your computer starts. This may happen intermittently. You can resolve this issue by updating the BIOS on your system.

Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of the Acer support website.
Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.
Select BIOS, then click the Download link for BIOS version R01-A2 (or later).
Unzip the file and run the Flash.bat file to update the BIOS.
