Driver Display Error May Cause Vertical White Lines or Image Abnormalities on the display - Acer Community
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="this-article-only-applies-to-aspire-e5-491g-aspire-s5-371-and-aspire-s5-371t">This article only applies to: Aspire E5-491G, Aspire S5-371 and Aspire S5-371T</h3> <p>SYMPTOMS<br>A display driver conflict may cause white lines or other abnormalities to appear after the system wakes from sleep mode or resumes after a long idle time. Acer is currently releasing BIOS updates to address the video driver conflict.</p> <p>SOLUTION<br><br>You can use either of the methods below to resolve this issue.<br></p><p><br><b>Method 1:</b> Download and install the Intel VGA driver 22.20.16.4836 (or later) from our <a rel="nofollow" href="http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers">Acer Drivers and Manuals page</a>.</p> or, <p><b>Method 2:</b> Use the following steps to rollback the display driver.<br><br></p><ol><li>Type <b>Device Manager</b> in the Windows Search Box, and select Device Manager from the list of search results.</li> <li>Locate and Right Click on the <b>Intel HD driver</b> under Display.</li> <li>Select <b>Properties</b>.</li> <li>Select the <b>Driver tab</b>.</li> <li>Select <b>Roll Back Driver</b>.</li> </ol> If you are still experiencing a problem, please <a rel="nofollow" href="http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support">contact Acer support</a> for further assistance..<br><meta content=""></meta> </article> </main>
