To find your current BIOS version in Windows, please follow the steps below:</p> <p>Windows 10: Type msinfo32 in the Windows search box and press Enter.</p> <p>Windows 8: Press the <b>Windows (<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029997/uploads/migrated/acer_final/15796/icon_windows8_key.png" alt="Image: icon_Windows8_key.png" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img>) key</b> + <strong>X</strong>, select <strong>Run</strong>, and then type msinfo32 and hit the <strong>Enter</strong> key.</p> <p>Windows 7 or Windows Vista: From the <strong>Start</strong> menu, type msinfo32 in the search bar and hit the <strong>Enter</strong> key.</p> <p>Windows XP: From the <strong>Start</strong> menu, click <strong>Run</strong> and type msinfo32 in the <strong>Run</strong> box and hit the <strong>Enter</strong> key. In the <strong>System Information</strong> window, click <strong>System Summary</strong> and locate your current <strong>BIOS Version/Date</strong> to the right.</p> <p> </p> <p>Another way to locate your BIOS version is from the Setup screen during the boot process.
