I thought I researched enough to feel confident that nitro 5 could handle the Sims 4, I bought this laptop specifically for this purpose and it just is constantly crashing lagging and freezing. I've had this laptop for less than three full days. Should I be returning this computer?

Try setting the power settings to High Performance. Also, make sure to connect the charger while playing the games.. this should definitely show the improvement in your games..

Post trying this, please share the result.

Make sure you're using the dedicated graphic card instead of the integrated one.
