I don't understand then... what you want to know is, which RAM you need to buy for your computer?

But that question was answered already both directly in comments and in-depth in the RAM guide I pointed you to in one of the replies.

You need DDR4-2133, period. Or, any higher rated RAM that also has profiles for 2133 MHz. As for compatibility, you know your timings and what to look for, I think I'm missing something because it looks clear to me :S

I meant to say they will tell me at least 1 RAM which I should go for which can work with my laptop?
If they say crucial, I will ask will about the compatibility of RAM that I specified earlier if they say yes then
it means it has at least one matching profile as current RAM thus both can operate in dual mode

The main reason, I did mail because the RAM specified on amazon are non-returnable
    I hope now you understand.

I got all the points you highlighted are more than enough to buy a RAM. But for knowing same timings as current for operating in dual-mode is tricky as you specified it's always a trial and error factor.

When buying faster RAM than what the computer supports yes, it's buy and try, because the timings at other frequencies are not advertised.

When buying RAM at precisely the speed the computer supports, the timings are specified in its spec sheet, so it's easier, but there's always a trial and error factor involved haha.

I can go for trial and answer, only if I can return the product 😅 and ask for another product which is prohibited by the seller.
    Am I fair enough?

I understand, but unless things bought from Amazon here can be returned for a myriad of reasons, 1 being simply doesn't suit your needs.

And in all honesty, with the way they do testing, I doubt they'll be able to tell you 1 single memory stick stating that they have bought and tested it in that particular machine. Simply no. It doesn't work like that because they even use different parts for marchines of the same model/line depending on the availability at the time of assembly.

There's just no guarantees. I can tell you already, buy X, what if it doesn't work then, you hold me (it's an example, it'd be Acer) responsible? And get into court or something over what they stated to be compatible... I mean, don't you see it's getting way out of hand?

I don't give much thought when I have to update a certain machine's components to be honest: I check what it supports, get piece X, install, all good, next. But then again, I could return it to the seller for whatever reason on the first 15 days of purchase if done over the Internet or phone.

A more interesting approach would be to write to Crucial if you're inclined on buying their memory and ask them what the timings at 2133 MHz are for a particular model, explaining that you want to match what your machine has already. Or even posting the same question in Amazon, sellers over there reply questions, and owners could provide you with a Thaiphoon screenshot for example.

Acer on the other hand... I see very little change of getting any authoritative answer out of them in the matter. I hope I'm wrong of course, but I just don't see it.

Simply no. It doesn't work like that because they even use different parts for machines of the same model/line depending on the availability at the time of assembly. - Thanks, this I don't know

Or even posting the same question in Amazon - I already did

But then again, I could return it to the seller for whatever reason on the first 15 days of purchase if done over the Internet or phone. - I also do same, I did it while buying Nvme SSD last year, but RAM is quite tricky if I don't find the sources to get the required information

A more interesting approach would be to write to Crucial if you're inclined on buying their memory and ask them what the timings at 2133 MHz are for a particular model, explaining that you want to match what your machine has already - this I do after getting little info from ACER's reply.

But that won't be the case rather they will be welcome customers for the upgrade. As a Manufacturer, which RAM is currently I have.

Also, Are there no one available from Acer on their community? Is this a fan-made subreddit 😂?
These are my opinions about the problem. I may be wrong.

What I meant is just there's just too many people from multiple disciplines involved in the making of a product. Those with the knowledge of designing the system and its specifications don't get to talk to customers and I'd say they don't even talk to support who sometimes doesn't even talk to the people handling emails and calls...

It's not the way I'd do business... but it's what generally happen (I'm talking about other companies not Acer specifically, I have no insider knowledge or anything), that's why they could give you the runaround.

As for the community... yep, it's mainly populated with enthusiasts and users, Acer employed people here are few and I think their position is that of moderation. Aside from maintaining the site and all, this is not an officially supported support channel with them.

Thanks for giving this insight about the community and I hope you are correct.
But If we go with this way
I meant to say they will tell me at least 1 RAM which I should go for which can work with my laptop?
If they say crucial, I will ask will about the compatibility of RAM that I specified earlier if they say yes then
it means it has at least one matching profile as current RAM thus both can operate in dual mode
then we may not require an answer from an expert about working.
I hope they are more affirmative.

I'd go straight to the manufacturers, Kingston, Crucial, Corsair, and ask them for the timings at 2133 MHz of some models I find on Amazon. At the same time post that question in Amazon and as if anyone has it to post a picture of Thaiphoon.

Quicker way to get an answer, if you go sequentially it could take a lot of time, if you go parallel it should be done quicker ;)
