Triton 500 GPU Fan Speed is it safe to do that, does the GPU requires cooling even on idle?

Hi there,

So I just got a new Triton 500 and I have a question regarding the GPU fans speed.

Even on idle or having like moderate workload outside gaming when GPU is idle the fans are on. I can disable them via custom profile and leave only the CPU fan active.

My question is: is it safe to do that, does the GPU requires cooling even on idle?

I've attached a screenshot of the predator sense. This was taken while browsing firefox/youtube.

Also from what I've found over the internet samsung m2 ssd can do like a clicking noise when being under load. Mine has a samsung drive and if the fans are completely off you can hear some crackling/whirring coming from below the keyboard. Is there something that can be done to make it go away or just deal with it.

Thanks

BiHan as i stated above yes any cpu/gpu diode even on idle can stay from 40 to 50 on idle according to the background processes running so auto fans coolboost on its the settings to use regarding the coil whine nothing can be done and the nvme drives are even more noticeable than normal sata because they consume more power i have the same on my aspire 5 with a intel p600 its completely normal and yes you can only hear it more if the fans are off but if you put your hear right next to where the drive is you will hear it when the drive is under load anyway ho[e this helped to answer your doubts and if youre satisfied with the answer please accept it as solved so anyone else asking for the same can find it quickly :)

BiHan you cant disable the fans via software only physically disconnecting them (which no one would do that) on the T500 the fans completely stop under 40 degrees for some time until the temps rise again same as the H300 2017/18 if u hear some crackling noise could be some wire over the fan blades i would get it checked if you can yourself without voiding your warranty or by acer service center the sound you describe from the m.2 its usually coil whine and its normal all electric devices have it some more noticeable than others nothing can be done its the power flowing through the chipsets

The dgpu its still hot even on idle just because its not used doesnt mean it doesnt heat up i would leave the fans on auto and coolboost on at all times no matter what youre doing

    Thanks for your answer.

So right now I just left it idle not doing anything and temp is below 40degrees and all the fans are off on Auto but my question was if the GPU is idle does it still require cooling since I can go in the custom profile and turn them off completely when I'm not gaming or anything.

And the that noise is definitely coming from the ssd since it happens also when the fans are off and might be a little bit noticeable since it has that inverted motherboard, just my opinion.

Also I've just updated the bios fmw to 1.13 and under driver description on acer support page it says "Updates ME and PMC firmware version".
Is there like a changelog with a little bit more info than that?

I've added some screen with the fans settings hope it help.

do you have experience on fan always boosted on startup and wont stop. It didnt apear on predator sense that fans are boosted. even on predator sense sets in auto rpm on fan wont register on predator sense.
