    Good day

Go to the bios and change the secure mode from UEFI to legacy and then disable the secure mode.

    Regards,

    HA Got it!!!!!

    One finger on F2 key

With ANOTHER finger press start button

IMMEDIATELY start pressing f2 every SECOND

You can even start pressing F2 ...BEFORE you press start/power button (it will do no harm)

    SO like this....

    PRESS F2, PRESS POWER BUTTON, WAIT 1 SECOND PRESS F2,WAIT 1 SECOND PRESS F2,WAIT 1 SECOND PRESS F2,WAIT 1 SECOND PRESS F2,

    Worked like a charm

Windows 7 Now loading after changes to HHD Mode and BIOS changed to legacy

Doesn't work for me.  Brand new V3-731 today.

I can turn UEFI off and onto  Legacy but the Secure Mode mode is [Disabled] and greyed out in both modes.

I want to set up dual boot Win 7 & Win 8.

I daren't repartition the hard drive until I can boot into Legacy Mode.

    Help!

Same problem for me also - I realize I need to change security settings in the BIOS to allow CD to boot but I cannot get into the BIOS.  Has anyone found a resolution yet?  Previous solution of holding F2 key before pwering on doesn't work for me.

    Thanks

Finally got the machine booting and gained access to BIOS using the info at the following link:  http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/tkb/articleprintpage/tkb-id/Beta_OS@tkb/article-id/177

    Good luck!

If secure boot is greyed out, temporarily set a supervisor password > disable secure boot > clear supervisor password.
