If you have bought an Acer desktop or laptop in the last 3 years and you cannot find new Realtek audio driver, here is what you should try:

Download Realtek audio driver and utility (actually mislabeled should be called Realtek Audio Console) from Veriton X4665G (if you have a desktop).
Download Realtek audio driver and audio console driver from Predator PT917-71 (if you have a laptop).

Run setup.exe from the driver and setup_app from the utility/console.

Run Microsoft Store to update the Realtek Audio Console.

You will no longer have the old Realtek HD Audio Manager.  All audio functions will be run inside the Realtek Audio Console.

If you want to update your Realtek audio driver and Realtek Audio Console further, then go to Microsoft Update Catalog and search for the following:

realtek 1903 media --- this will give you 6.0.8849.1 driver dating end of November 2019

realtek 1903 --- this will give you 11.0.6000.736 software components

Download them and unzip them. Update the realtek audio driver and ALL 3 of the Realtek Software Components in device manager.

Then run Microsoft Store to update the Realtek Audio Console.

After all this, you will have 6.0.8849.1 driver and 1.8.204.0 Realtek Audio Console.

If you have a laptop and the predator drivers doesn't work, then try some other drivers from recent Acer laptop models.

The Realtek Audio Console is no longer available in the  MSFT store but Acer lists a RTK console that does not have a setup.exe or an install.exe file just "Install_UWP.cmd" and when I try to run that by double clicking or elevated in Powershell or with any other Windows command I get serious errors and Windows10 x64 18363 warnings. I have an Acer Aspire 5 515-54G-70AG, S/N: NXHNBSP0029340F26E7600 laptop that runs on NVIDIA GEFORCE  MX250 (with dedicated graphics board) but the INTEL UHD graphics driver is also listed/installed? under Display adapters Driver Version 26.20.100.6911 so Intel UHD is actually running or just listed is not clear, Can you help me out with this?

Your screenshots on the other thread already showed that you have Realtek Audio Console installed, so proceed with step number 2 (going to Microsoft Update Catalog, download/unzip/update the various software components (under software components) and realtek driver (under Sound, Video and Game Controllers). Then run Microsoft Store to update the Audio Console.

please note that the Realtek Audio Console UWP app from the MS store requires a Realtek HD "Universal" Audio Driver or UAD driver for short.
A Realtek UAD Driver has a very different format or structure than with the standard or traditional Realtek HDA Audio Driver that bundles the Realtek HD Audio Manager app.

It shouldn't matter in this specific case because you are using OEM drivers directly from Acer.

If you are successful in installing the OEM Acer Realtek UAD driver, it means that the hardware id matches in the acer inf. It also means that Acer would have accounted in the installation procedure to uninstall your HDA driver automatically.

well Joe9844, here is the latest OEM based Realtek UAD driver from Acer - v6.0.8890.1.

only Acer laptops & desktops made from late 2017 & later (with 7th gen Intel core, AMD Ryzen or newer hardware) that use Realtek audio hardware can use UAD drivers.  older Acer machines using Realtek audio on 6th gen Intel core (Skylake), AMD FX or earlier CPUs should use the standard Realtek HDA drivers as UAD drivers don't support older Realtek audio chipsets found on 6th gen Intel core or older hardware.

There are 2015/16 Acer computer models in the Acer UAD inf files. I think Acer made a decision to include computer models that came with windows 10 pre-installed. Meanwhile, Dell made the decision to only include 2018 computer models or newer in their UAD inf files.

After going to MUC to update the driver and the software components, you should have this.

I actually found more recent Acer based Realtek UAD drivers that have been released by Acer

    v6.0.8928.1 for Nitro AN515-44

    v6.0.8923.1 for Aspire A315-23

    v6.0.8912.1 for Aspire A515-44

Though I have a Gigabyte board that uses a 6.0.8945.1 UAD driver with HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182"
that ID made the cut for UAD drivers and MUC does not have 8945 yet and Gigabyte has it on their web site since early May 2020
-currently using my custom built PC with the Gigabyte board which also has Realtek Audio Console v1.12.219.0

I've used this method in an to get the Realtek audio console to work and in my Aspire A515-51g, but when I was able to get it working it did not have the feature I was looking for, the option to disable jack detection on advanced settings, i've attempted to download other versions of the audio console but they all looked the same.

I was expecting the device manager to look something like this:

But instead what I get is this (don't mind the Portuguese):

Can Someone help me with this? I've spent more time trying to get this to work than I'm proud to admit.

Laptops usually don't have those options available.

Are those options independent from driver version? Is there a non-laptop version I can get to solve this?

what kind of Acer computer are you using, LucasR?

question to Joe8944 - is there any way to use a Realtek UAD/DCH driver and Realtek Audio Console on an Acer VN7-592G laptop or any Acer laptop with onboard Realtek audio hardware on Intel Skylake (6th gen intel) CPUs?
I ask because this fella in another forum has such an Acer laptop and wanted to switch from using traditional Realtek HDA drivers to the newer & compact Realtek UAD/DCH drivers.

If your hardware id is not present in the acer's inf files within the MUC UAD cab file, then it is not possible to install UAD driver on that acer computer.

Well, thanks for all your thought but as a rule go with the most recent adaptation of the drivers that help the equipment I can discover, paying little mind to the maker (for example Lenovo may have a more current rendition of the AHCI drivers than the one Dell gives). In any case, with Realtek audio cards it's nuts, upstream (Realtek themselves) give obsolete drivers however there are endless renditions to browse that I don't have a clue what to utilize.

I know, I know, the entirety of this is presumably way overthinking it and I ought to get ones that turn out great and that is it; however the fussbudget side of me is murdering me over this haha.

Can the forum moderators put this thread in the sticky?

I never expected my post gets over 10,000 views.

The realtek software components can be downloaded from other computer manufacturers. I updated the driver to 6.0.9034.1 from MUC. I updated the realtek software components from MSI motherboards.
