My laptop is not charging while the charger is plugged in....

  • What is the exact model of your notebook? Example AN515-51-75KZ. Also, have you tried to uninstall the power adapter and battery drivers and have you also reset the battery?

    ikhalidx0 uninstall the acpi driver then perform a battery power drain  as suggested above by @egydiocoelho  disconnect from AC press/hold for 30s+ let it rest for a couple of hours 2/3 to complete discharge all capacitors from any remaining power in the mobo then boot into bios reset to defaults let the acpi driver install and see if the issue persists also check your battery health (wear %) either via battery report/hwinfo/battery bar pro for any possible wear that would make the battery cells faulty and if also possible check you adapter with a voltmeter to make sure its outputting the correct voltage
