Hello everyone,
I´d like to replace the cooling silicone pads in my Acer Aspire 5742g. Does anyone here know which ones should I buy and of what thickness?
I´m trying to avoid opening the computer again just to measure the thermal pads. I´m also not sure if I should buy the artic pad that has a higher conductivity or another one. I remember the thermal pads on this laptop were white.

Thanks

I have the artic mx4 so I´ll follow your advice and use that as grease. My doubt was really on those square silicone pads that protect the circuits.
That answers my question, I guess. I´ll just use a white or grey one that you see selling, as I can't find the other brands easily.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! :)
