I have a Acer Laptop (Aspire E5-576G) and I want to reset my laptop completely and delete all of its files but I keep getting an error code and I don't know how to fix it. The error code says
"Recovery
Your PC/Device needs to be repaired
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed
Error code: 0xc0000185
You'll need  recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB media device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer."

    Good Morning Simien !

Are you using the Acer installation system by pressing ALT + F10 when you turn on the device?

it would be better if you use Microsoft media creation tool to make a bootable usb  pendrive and then doing a fresh install of win 10. this is since as you stated you want to delete everything.

If your device has a factory OEM system, it is best not to create media and reinstall in this way, but to use the Acer factory recovery system.

Acer factory recovery is very old version of win 10. after doing that your laptop will auto update. (unless you disable update, which is not recommended)
so better to do the latest one itself.

    just my opinion.....

But this is the safest and most effective way to maintain the factory OEM system.

i understand your point of view. Acer just does some 'minor' customisation (oem) basically to the drivers and adds oem information.
but latest win10  contains nearly all the updated drivers for the laptop. some which are not there you can get it via device manager update.

I tried that multiple times, I got the same error message even after doing that and now I'm not even able to use ALT + F10 because the screen just glitches and then the laptop turns off.
