Hello, currently using I3 8100. Since the motherboard has B360 chipset, can i upgrade to an I5 9400F?

I also have update the bios to the newest version and will be using a discrete graphic card for display, since the new CPU has no iGPU.

I understand, perhaps because of the language, I did not understand the question well, we all know that ACER covers its BIOS on certain models, its motherboard would admit the processors, which you described earlier, but the question you ask could not be solved by us, if not ACER technical service, since if there is no update on the official website, it will be difficult to locate other important processes.

    Best Regards.

Hello, thanks for the reply IVAN-PC. But it still doesn't help.
To use a i5 9400f with a B360 motherboard requires a bios update. I was wondering is the Acer OEM B360 motherboard with an updated bios will allow me to use the newer CPU.

Alright, I guess it is better not to risk it for now.
