Hi all. I had recently purchased the Swift 5 SF514-53T. I understand that it has a 2nd slot for M2 drive. But my questions are:
  1. Any document  / guideline on installing the 2nd drive. I have removed all the screws at the back. But I have no idea how to open the back cover. Feels like the back cover is still securely attached to the machine without the screws. (I don't wanna brutely open it and break anything)
  2. Any document on the requirement of the 2nd drive? Or basically any M2 (no matter NVMe or not) would work?
Thank you very much for your advise!

Chris

    Good afternoon chrishui !

The series in question is not yet listed on Acer dash.
The next series that has basically the same characteristics, informs the following:

    PCIe Gen3x4, NVMe or SATA 6 Gb/s of 256gb
    PCIe Gen3x4, NVMe Capacity 512gb

To remove the cover, follow the instructions:

To verify the presence of 2 M.2 slots, check here:

It is not mandatory to be NVMe but rather that the device has support.
    I would really opt for a M.2 2280 Sata 3

    Thank you so much @MaClane

The illustration pictures help. I will give try it later on.

For the type of drive supported, does it mean if i wanna add a 512 (or 480GB), iy must be NVMe?

I was thinking about the Western Digital Green (480G, M2 2280). Any idea if it might work?

    Thanks again for your help!
