Click settings in the start button menu. Click ease of access. Click keyboard. Make sure all settings are off. Jack E/NJ

Open Device Manager. Click on 'Keyboards' folder. Uninstall 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard'. Exit Device Manager. Shut down Windows. Turn the machine back on. Jack E/NJ

Tried this one too, still its the same. Does it mean I have a hardware problem?

Possibly. I suggest that you next download and try DriverBooster or similar freeware driver update tools to see if it can find any device driver updates, including those indirectly affecting keyboard operation, to see if can resolve the problem. Jack E/NJ

One last suggestion to try. Shut the laptop down. Then turn it back on  again and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. You can either try to reset the machine to a factory fresh state or refresh it while trying to save your personal files. If this doesn't fix the problem then you should request warranty repair. Jack E/NJ
